Varsity Coach: Mackenzie Esquer
Bio:
Coach Mackenzie played field hockey at FVHS for 4 years, playing 3 years on Varsity, and made Captain senior year. She played on a club team for 3 years. Coach Mackenzie is currently in the Nursing Program at GWC working towards my ASN/RN and eventually BSN and MSN. Besides going to school, she has been coaching since the summer of 2020 and working at Cathy's Cookies, a food truck that sells freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, since 2019.

Varsity Assistant Coach: Mary Ellen Esquer

Bio:
Coach Mary Ellen played field hockey at Marina High School for 4 years, CSULB for 4 years, and several years playing club. As a civil engineer, she designs wastewater treatment plants. Coach Mary Ellen has 3 kids. Coach Mackenzie is her youngest and started coaching her before she started high school. Coach Mary Ellen was the Varsity coach at FVHS since 2021, but due to work travel picking up again, she had to step down from the Head Coach position and will assist her daughter as the Varsity Assistant coach.
